WHAT IS A LIFE COACH?

LIFE COACH VS COUNSELOR

Coaches help people move forward and achieve their goals. We are future and forward focused rather than counseling which tends to focus on the past and problems. Coaches help people find a new path forward while therapy tends to be people looking for solutions to emotional concerns and seeking a diagnosis required by insurance companies. We work together 1-on-1 to help create the life you want. It’s more of a partnership than a “doctor-patient” relationship.”

In short- as a coach I work with you to achieve your goals in a respectful partnership.

People who benefit from having a life coach: writer’s with writer’s block, career changes, new graduates, those going back to school- basically anyone going through a transition or feeling stagnated in life.

WHY LIFE COACHING?

MY MISSION

I went to NYU for their coaching program because I truly believe in the benefits of coaching. I’ve worked with some amazing coaches and each session I learned something new and unexpected about myself and my goals. I want to help people realize their full potential and guide them through any potential road blocks they may encounter along the way.

I specifically went back to school to learn how to best help others achieve their dreams since helping others is truly my dream.

ICF DEFINITION OF A COACH

ICF (International Coaching Federation) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
