Throughout June I am committing myself to working out, doing cryo, and sweating it out in the sauna. Not just to see the physical changes but also the mental changes. I’ve been feeling very disconnected lately and away from my purpose so I am actively hoping to see an improved connection with my body and a mental health boost.
One of the *very fun* side effects of my depression is not wanting to practice self-care because seeing myself in the mirror or the shower is challenging. Negative body image is something MANY people deal with and depression only compounds those negative feelings. Signing up with a personal coach at the end of May was my first step towards improving my body image and mental health and with some awesome recovery treatments each day- I’m hoping the results will be even better.
Day 1: Cryo @ 10:20am. I just finished coaching and needed a little boost! The blast of cold helps me wake up and increase my energy levels.
